I started working at the State Appellate Defender's Office one month ago today (http://www.state.il.us/DEFENDER/). Day by day, I'm more convinced that this is the best job I've ever had.
I say this not because I worked at the Holiday Inn washing dishes for $5.10 an hour or because delivered LaRosa's pizzas for 3 years. I say this because this job is amazing: (1) I get to research and write all day; (2) I'm only required to work 40 hours a week (pretty unusual for attorneys); (3) I get to wear whatever I want; (4) the benefits (if not the salary) are amazing; and (5) the people I work with are both down-to-earth and brainy.
Awesome.
